Today in our Featured Chapbook Artist Feature is an artist whose liquid paintings and eerie atmosphere stem from a particularly Canadian sense of strangeness and isolation. These fluid and carefully composed images are the products of up-and-coming Canadian talent Brendan Flanagan. Flanagan has had numerous successful solo shows since graduating from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 2007, and he quickly established himself within the Toronto art community. He has been included in several group shows and publications, and has exhibited in North America and Europe.
Tapped by View on Canadian Art as an artist to watch, Flanagan is poised to become a rising talent in the world of young Canadian painters.
