Monica Roberts Chalmers, born in Rousillon, Quebec, of Welsh parentage, has with the exception of two years of childhood in England and Wales, spent her life in her native province. Writing since the age of eleven, her early work was for children. Her home life revolved around music and dramatics. Her chief interests were philosophy and psychology, horses and dogs. She was married and had one son.
